This is the 'taster' for anyone who wants to discover sailing for the first time or wants a new experience. If you know a bit and want to have a taste of keelboat sailing on Sydney Harbour. A great way to start your sailing journey!

Autumn 25 - 12hrs - 4x3hr sessions - Flexible Session choice
If you are new to sailing, then the Start Crewing short course is the first step in your sailing journey! This course is an introduction to the basics of crewing and sailing on a keelboat. Choose a combination of four (4) lessons to complete the entire skill level. The flexibility of when you do the lessons is yours (subject to minimum numbers required).

The Level 3 course develops both your theory and practical skills to confidently take control on the helm. Choose a combination of four (4) lessons to complete the entire skill level. The ICC Direct Assessment can be secured through ab RYA Training Centre. It is a a test of competence that provides the student with an internationally recognised qualification. The ICC can be obtained for Sailing/Yachting and Power (<10m). Check Prices and Options for more detail.

7:30 AM - 12:00 PM (4 hours 30 minutes)
The objective of the course is to qualify FBC Members to take powerboat into Open Water (restricted area) as part of the Membership Services. Each Member will need to attend both Theory and practical sessions to gain knowledge and practical experience to a minimum standard to complete a short coastal passage by day.
We love to sail. More importantly, we love giving sailing lessons!
