You will now advance your sailing skills and safety knowledge to enable you to skipper unsupervised in sheltered waters.

Water confidence, and the skills, knowledge and experience you’ve gained from the Start Crewing and Start Helming courses or from years of experience on boats.

This course is designed for participants who wish to begin skippering a keelboat, unsupervised.
Atlas Sailing training courses are conducted by accredited Australian Sailing Instructors using the Australian Sailing 'Keelboat Program'. Our keelboat allows you to learn to sail without the fear of capsizing and onboard with several other people learning alongside you. Learning to sail in a self-righting keelboat provides a learning platform that is stable yet responsive. All the equipment and safety gear will be provided by Atlas Sailing.
Course Outcome
You will gain your Start Skippering completion certificate.

What to Bring
Soft soled shoes (white if possible), hat, sunscreen, shoes, wind/rain jacket, gloves (recommended) and a curious mind.

Atlas Sailing abides by the Australian Sailing Instructor/Participant ratios; hence places are strictly limited. All programs are subject to change with limited notice, based on demand and availability and weather conditions.
Please read the Atlas Sailing refund policy before registering. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations less than 14 days prior to the event as there are limited places available. If a session is cancelled due to weather, or another force majeure circumstance, participants will be offered a place on another scheduled date or a full refund.

Water confidence and the skills, knowledge and experience you've gained from completing the Start Crewing [L2] and Start Helming [L3] courses.
