Powerboating Courses

The course is tailored for all persons wanting to qualify for a NSW recreational boat licence, at a pace to suit all whilst having fun at the same time. The course is tailored for all persons wanting to qualify gain qulaifications for tender driving at sailing clubs and/or a NSW recreational boat licence, at a pace to suit all whilst having fun at the same time. Pickup/Drop in Rose Bay Marina or Elizabeth Bay Marina Wharf - 40mins prior (8:15am) and dropoff after session - $15pp

This course provides the skills needed to support water-based activities at clubs, schools and outdoor recreation centres. You'll learn about racecourse design, practise on-water rescue of dinghies and gain an awareness of techniques to support kite surfers and kayaks.

This course provides advanced and intensive training in the practical skills, technical, navigational theoretical knowledge for small boat operators (<less than 10m). Day 1 (PB1) - As Powerboat Handling / NSW Boat Licence, Day 2 (PB2) - RYA Powerboat Level 2. We train on a 6.8m rigid inflatable rescue craft.

Freedom Boat Club - New Member Orientation [Private Course]

To teach powerboating up to the standard required to complete a short coastal passage by day. In essence this course aims to introduce those boaters who have previously stayed ‘close to home’ to travel that bit further and undertake short coastal passages.
